Full-time Web Developer required.

Pepper Creative are looking for a Web Developer to join our small, busy team on the Isle of Wight. Due to the pandemic there has been even greater demand for web-based solutions, so we’re looking for the right person to expand our team and support us with our growing workload and develop our new business opportunities.

Your role is to develop website projects for new and existing clients, as well as helping in the maintenance of our existing websites and legacy systems. You’ll handle the full life cycle of a project from project planning and build to testing and support. You’ll be talking to new and existing clients about their needs and offering solutions, or following up potential new leads.

You’ll work in partnership our Senior Web Developer who will offer guidance and support on every project, but we need you to be confident enough to handle your own projects, especially when deadlines are tight or when extra support is needed. You’ll work closely on projects with our design team, implementing design ideas that they wish to incorporate or suggesting some cool web technology that we can adopt.

In the current climate remote working is an option, but the ideal candidate would be available to work in our office in Newport on the Isle of Wight. Our office is fully compliant with current government pandemic guidelines so you’ll be kept safe whilst working from our HQ.

We would wish to employ someone with a minimum of 3 years experience in the industry, but we will make exceptions if we feel that you may be the person we’re looking for! We will want to see a strong portfolio of previous projects that you have worked on to assess your skill level. Although we would prefer the post to be permanent, we would consider a 6 or 12 month contract.

  • Good time management and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to understand and discuss business and technical requirements.
  • Good spoken English and writing skills.

  • Experience with modern JavaScript libraries e.g. React, VueJS.
  • Cloud experience.
  • Tailwind.

We’re a friendly bunch and open to new ideas & technology and we’re keen to grow, so if you think you have what it takes to fulfil our needs contact us now by emailing with a full CV, with links to sample projects or a portfolio, and a salary expectation.
