Taking advantage of a rare window of opportunity provided by the great British summer, the team headed for the beach for a day of food, drink and mild sunstroke. Pre-lunch cocktails on the beach were followed by a picturesque lunch, which was later worked off with some unnecessarily competitive crazy golf and a dodgems grand prix where the ‘NO BUMPING’ sign was quite rightly ignored...
From humble beginnings Avtrade has established a globally respected aviation brand, and the celebration thrown in honour of their success brought together many friends from past and present. Pepper were pleased to attend the party in the grounds of their new HQ, especially as the three video presentations that we created to show on the evening had such a warm response. Our short movie which presented Avtrade’s global service in true Hollywood action movie style received warm applause, and we would like to applaud Avtrade for their success and wish them even more over the next 30 years.
The Isle of Wight Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and its partners were created to protect every aspect of the environment, including wildlife, cultural heritage and the landscape’s impact on local communities. The AONB, along with Down To The Coast, The West Wight Landscape Partnership and Wild on Wight, required a suite of distinctive websites to showcase their individual contributions, as well as establishing a consistent visual style across the whole suite of sites. Pepper Creative also designed and produced supporting material such as leaflets, newsletters, electronic stationery and display graphics to reinforce the AONB brand at public events across the Isle of Wight.
Featuring recipes created by chefs from the British Team in the prestigious Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie, the book contains instructions on how to recreate the complex desserts, as well as photography that does full justice to these visually stunning creations. Amongst the contributors to the book are Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden, both recently seen as judges in the new BBC TV series ‘Bake Off Creme de la Creme’. Pepper Creative are proud to be in such esteemed company, and working on a subject that’s VERY close to our hearts...
Avtrade's recent visit to the MRO Middle East Exhibition was just one of many such global events designed to raise their profile in a very competitive industry. Pepper Creative designed the exhibition graphics to reflect Avtrade's new graphic direction, with a mix of bold statements, illustrations and a new colour palette (see the presentation here). Visitors to the Dubai World Trade Centre were also greeted by a multi-media presentation on a large scale video wall in a central location which, with its punchy mix of colour and sound, drove many to Avtrade's main stand. The event was a great success, resulting in several new business opportunities throughout the Middle East, as well as positive feedback on Avtrade's bold new direction.
The concept behind the Newchurch Discovery Bus is to encourage students at the primary school to learn more about the rich diversity of nature that surrounds them. It also provides a fun and informative learning space in which students can take part in nature-based lessons and activities. The vintage double decker bus was renovated and revived by the school over several months, and eventually provided a huge canvas for Pepper’s interpretations of the area’s local flora and fauna. We hope that the Discovery Bus proves to be a great success, and continues to inspire and educate the young students of Newchurch for many years to come.
The last year has seen us consolidating our relationships with long-term customers, and welcoming new clients as diverse as Kenwood, Farnborough College and High Sports Climbing. Our ever-expanding client list allows a huge diversity of creative scope for the team, as well as providing lots of new challenges for our seven-strong team.
Kirsty Evans, MD of Pepper, says: “I’ve been involved in Pepper from the beginning, and have watched our client list, and our team, grow. I’m extremely proud of where we are in 2015, working with a great team who really care about what they do, and getting great feedback from the customers we’re proud to work for.”
Steve Hunt’s passion for music and football were raised to higher levels when he was introduced to the music of Bruce Springsteen whilst playing for New York Cosmos in the late 70’s. Although his playing days alongside Pele are now firmly a thing of the past, Steve’s love of Springsteen’s music continues into the present day, with Steve attending his 50th live performance in 2012.
Pepper Creative were pleased to work with Steve on his website (see it here), which not only promotes his football academy, but gives an insight into his rich and varied playing career. The site had already attracted praise and stimulated plenty of email traffic, but one such contact proved something of a surprise - an email from New York based agent Mark Stein. Mark is an enthusiastic fan of the NASL era in which Steve played, and served as a locker boy for Chicago Sting. He also happens to represent Max Weinberg, not only a fellow Cosmos afficionado but the drummer with Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band. Between recording such classics as Born To Run and Born In The USA, and supporting Springsteen for 40 years during his epic live shows, Max managed to find time to unwind by watching Steve play at the Giants Stadium during his three seasons at the Cosmos.
A regular transatlantic correspondence has flourished, with Mark and Max supplying Steve with signed drum sticks, skin and tour paraphernalia, and Steve supplying rare Cosmos memorabilia to the avid soccer fans. All three parties will meet in person when Springsteen visits the UK on his current Wrecking Ball tour, and who knows, perhaps Steve will not only have the honour of meeting his footballing heroes, but his musical idol too...
