The new Avtrade website is really
taking off...

After much hard work avtrade.co.uk has taken flight and is already receiving praise, not least from Avtrade's Middle East supremo Jamie Brooks...

“I've already been getting some really positive feedback from the website,” said Jamie, “it's being very well received and it just shows what a fantastic team you have at Pepper.” The website has been designed to complement Pepper's redesign of Avtrade's corporate styling, including press and online advertising and a suite of corporate brochures. Pepper hope that the site reflects Avtrade's position at the forefront of the global aviation industry. An extensive intranet was developed in tandem with the new website, giving Avtrade the power to manage orders, share reports and track deliveries 24/7. The Isle of Wight Arts scene is open for business...

Last year's Isle of Wight Arts Directory was a big hit in the Isle of Wight Arts community, and this year's recently printed guide builds on that success.

The Isle of Wight Arts Directory was created to act as a central hub for artists working on the Island and to provide a showcase for their work. This year the focus has shifted to promote The Isle of Wight Artists' Open Studios 2010, which brings together local artists and craft makers in the biggest annual arts event on the Island. This year has seen 97 artists enter the Open Studios, a significant increase on last year, and there is an extra section for artists not participating in Open Studios but still keen to promote their skills.

Pepper Creative have produced a vibrant new styling for this year's directory, reflecting the Island's iconic coastline and incorporating the hut motif synonymous with previous Open Studios projects. Detailed route maps have been introduced to this year's guide, helping visitors to plot their course around the artists' studios.

Isle of Wight Arts Directory

The Isle of Wight Council's Arts Development Officer Nina Cullinane is over the moon with the new directory - “Pepper Creative have done a great job with our brochure and website, they really care about the final product,” she said. “Last year's website was a great success and lead to sales for many of our artists” - and Pepper hope this year's directory will be an even bigger hit with artists and visitors alike.

Pepper Creative have also designed and produced a number of publicity items to promote the directory including posters, postcards and advertisements in local press, all designed to bring the directory and its talented roster of artists to a broader audience.

The Arts Directory website will soon be updated to feature all the details of this year's Open Studios. The updated website will feature free online sign up and entry form, and an e-proofing system for brochure entries, developed by Pepper to help artists manage their own profile in the next directory.

The Isle of Wight Artists' Open Studios Directory 2010 can be picked up for free from Quay Arts, libraries and Tourist Information Centres around the Island.

Mike Pearson Senior Designer

Mike likes: writing with a fibre tip marker on shiny paper; the silence that comes with snow; a four-fish-finger sandwich, two fingers with vinegar, two with ketchup. Mike dislikes: the media - how about some positive news? Favourite place: the hill above St. Gilgen overlooking the Wolfgangsee, Thursday 29th December 2005. Memorable moment: shaking hands with three ex-Mothers of Invention. If I ruled the world: I'd be ruthless, unforgiving and brutal, but still keep the weekends free to relax.

AND THE WINNER IS...

Pepper Creative have been working with top gun vitreous enameller A. J. Wells on the design for the 2010 Young Chamber Awards to be held on May 16th. The colour theme this year was black, pink and gold, the budget tight, and the deadline even tighter, but Pepper think the awards, hot (very hot) off the press, will be well received by victorious Young Chamber members and businesses alike.

Laser cut from steel, then fired at 800° to fuse coloured glass particles to their surface, the awards have the necessary weight and finish to reflect the prestige of the occasion. We won't steal Young Chamber's thunder by revealing them here, but check out the Pepper site after May 16th to see the finished awards and the graphics that were created to accompany it.

AVTRADE FLYING HIGH
AT EXPO

This week sees the unveiling of Avtrade's new exhibition stand, designed specifically for the 2010 Airline Purchasing Expo at Olympia. The graphics that we've created fall in line with the recent shake-up of Avtrade's printed and online material, and we hope it will be a big hit at this major aviation trade show, where hopefully it will hold it's own against over 200 world-class businesses. See the results in Avtrade's advertising portfolio here >>
